Think SunSmart, a provider of solar resource assessment services, has expanded its service area to both the United States and Europe. The language options have been expanded accordingly. Service is now available in English and German. A Spanish service is in development. Solar resource reports are delivered in the preferred language of the clients for sites at home and abroad. The multilingual service is aimed to support the international business development of large solar project coordinators.

National Semiconductor Corp. announced that it has entered the solar photovoltaic (PV) market with new technology designed to increase the overall energy output of solar electric power generating systems.
